This week’s show is short and sweet since our depleted cast is still recuperating from the more-than-acceptable epic that was Battle on the Bank V. If you want to hear about more, you better contribute! We can’t be everywhere at once, no matter how hard we try.
Abe Drinkin from the NY Shock Exchange checks in with us in light of our discussion from episode 108 to dispel some myths about that infamous NYSE/STL Gatekeepers last jam and about NYSE and derby in general. He suggests some rather interesting ideas to discourage douchebaggery.
Once you’ve listened, tell us what you think. We are all still waiting for the next WFTDA rules revision, so we might as well keep talking about stuff, right? Right?
By the way, congratulations to the nine new WFTDA member leagues! Let’s just hope everyone behaves themselves. (You know we love you, De!)
This week’s cast:

I am in love with the episode photo.
Abe Drinkin’s idea about extending the bout is interesting, but it only addresses the problem of drawing intentional penalties at the end of the game, and it would potentially allow the losing team to extend the bout to give themselves a chance to catch up.
I think the real problem is that there’s such a huge reward for destroying the pack, regardless of when it happens. Under no circumstance should a team be able to score points as a direct result of committing an illegal action. At worst, a team might draw a penalty to stop the opposing jammer from scoring (by tripping, for example), but ideally the rules should prevent that or compensate for it.
