Hello. I have been skating with Missile Mountain since its inception. I would like to comment on some of the discussion about team Bionic.
I do not know much of the business side of things.
I do feel a little disjointed. Not in a bad way. It’s a big change for me. I am still having to fight to let go of the awe, so that I can relax and play my game. I was a part of the A team. Now I am on the B team. Team Bionic is scheduled to play folks that I could not even get a response from. I hear they are going for Battle of the Bank. I do know that I, personally wrote a letter to the National Bank Track Association asking for the Rocketeers ( what is now Missile Mountain’s B team) to play in BOTB V. I never heard back.. BUT… i’m being trained by De Ranged, Psycho Babble and Ecko. I’ve learned so much already. I’m mind blown really. I’m going to be 10xs the skater. I have, within reach, the opportunity to skate with the best.
Team Bionic has 3 MMRD slots. Before team Bionic, we were having a hard time finding people to play and people to watch. That is changing very quickly.
I now have the opportunity to play at a level that was literally years away before team Bionic.
All in all, I personally super excited about the addition of Team Bionic.
Something else that Team Bionic offers us is a roster of super stars to fill our rosters. It also offers access to training from some of the best.
I’m optimistic.

@TaraFlying
Thank you SO much for chiming in, it’s really cool to hear the perspective from a skater inside the organization. =)
Pitchit, you don’t like my recorder playing? I would be hurt, but it seems like I get that reaction a lot.
Hiyah all! Killer Bunny Foo Foo here!
I’ve been skating as often as possible with Missile Mountain Roller Derby since they opened their banked track – unfortunately, not as long as Tara. The whole league has been amazing and welcoming; I’m so glad to be part of MMRD! It’s been especially great to see the hard work of MMRD league members paying off. The addition of Team Bionic is like icing on the cake. Like Tara said, we’ve been working hard to get our league established in the derby community for a while now, and the addition of Team Bionic has definitely kicked much of that into high gear! We have a solid season planned with bouting opportunities for not just Team Bionic, but games set for the Rocketeers too!
The best thing about Team Bionic is that not only do we get amazing skaters as new teachers, but each MMRD member has an equal chance to work hard and earn a roster spot on Team Bionic if she chooses! Like Tara, I’m so excited for these changes and look forward to moving into the new year with Team Bionic as part of MMRD!
@Frisky
It’s not that I don’t like it. It’s more that I wasn’t sure what those sounds were. My ears are not tuned to those kinds of instruments.
Look, you spent the time to play and record a song and send it to us. For that, I am grateful!
Hey everyone,
Just wanted to say that I really enjoyed listening to the show. Also, wanted to say how proud I am of my sister (from another mister), Chrome Molly, for being a part of something f***ing amazing. You people scored! She knows her shit. Keep up the great work DD! Looking forward to the next podcast ;]
(Love ya, sis!)
I’m just catching up on some old episodes. I have to say that you guys fucking rock my balls!! I’m going to start listening to the MegaDump show all the time now. Thanks for the quality off season entertainment! Raucous – KCRW and Cowtown Butchers Announcer
