After watching Gotham practice last night on the bank, the LA/Gotham game should be A-fucking-mazing to watch. Dodge and I shall heckle to our fullest extent!
I would like a powerpoint presentation of Team Heckle’s strategy, please.
Sheeza, can you please cite the rule that says when a skater is removed from the bout due to injury, her penalties must be assigned to another skater on her team? I’ve never heard of such a rule, nor can I find it in the WFTDA ruleset.
@Joe Rollerfan
The think the difference is that she removed herself without a injury on the track, so no jam was called off and she was not seen by a medical examiner.
I do not know the exact rule, but I will send a message to our head ref for the game and get back to you!
@Sheeza Brickhouse
This is what I found from just browsing the rules. Waiting on response from head ref of our game for official call. Thanks!
7.3.1.1 Penalized skaters must be substituted in the case of a skater who has fouled out, an expulsion, or injury (see Sections 7.5.1.2, 7.5.4, and 10.3.1 respectively). These substitutions may only take place between jams. A skater who has fouled out or has been expelled is not permitted to return to play and her team must skate a skater short for the remainder of the jam.
I thought Suzy Hotrod skated with Philly now? I could be wrong but that’s what I’ve been hearing for a while I think
@Effy Stone ‘Em
No, that story got quashed a few months ago. She’s still a Gotham Girl! =)
Wasn’t the deal with assigning Wetback’s penalties an error on part of the refs? Subbing in for an injured skater (in this case, Wetback Attack) who has to leave the game doesn’t mean the other skater takes their penalties. Whitey had to serve WB’s minute in the p-box, but the rest (I thought?) was an error by the officiating crew. Or am I smoking the crack?
